Located in Cancun directly across from the beautiful Isla Mujeres, Villa del Palmar - one of Cancun's newest resorts - offers 5-star luxury in what is called the most picturesque destination in the world. With the ambiance and design of a Caribbean village, the resort reflects warm hospitality and casual elegance. Pools graced with mosaic tile artwork and borders, Mayan inspired bridges, hidden hot tubs and a secluded jungle-like spa are all part of the landscape here, creating a truly idyllic setting. And there's no better way to escape, unwind and restore than with a retreat to the spa, a blissful setting where you can indulge your mind, body and spirit. The resort has these restaurants: Zama, Casona, Hiroshi, Caprichos, the Bite Bar, and Davinos. There is a Palmita Market, deli, ice-cream and boutique on site. The resort does offer a meal plan for some or all of your stay. Shuttle service can be prearranged to/from airport to resort. All of the rooms face the ocean. This room will feature a kitchen and kitchenette, living and dining areas and spacious balconies along with a safety deposit box. Whether you're looking to lounge on the beach and pool area or venture out and explore, there are plenty of activities for families including horseback riding, ATV tours, boat cruises, sailing, snorkeling and scuba diving. There are five pools on the property. Families can also venture to historical sites including the pyramid at Chichen Itza and the walled city of Tulum. Villa del Palmar Cancun's dedicated kids club with splash pool and a host of activities on land and sea keeps both little-ones and grown-ups fully entertained. Whether opting for all inclusive or room-only, Villa del Palmar Cancun's bilingual staff always deliver uncompromising first-class service. My wife and I have been coming to the resort often since it was in the construction stage. There are a few things that keep bringing us back. Top reason: it has been the people. We have become great friends with the resort staff, bell men and the waiters. We have enjoyed all that the resort has to offer and another one of our favorite things is to hop on the ferry right outside the property for only a few pesos and go to Isla Mujeres. There we rent a golf cart and travel around the island stopping at places of interest have a meal and return back to the resort. There are many beautiful resorts all over the world and this is one of them. Christmas is a very celebrated time and Christmas at Villa del Palmar Cancun is a very special family event. The resort is decorated in the Christmas spirit and all the special events planned for the guests are wonderful. They do change and it will be interesting to see what is in store for this year.
