Summary: The house is 1/2 mile from grocery store and town. A little further for the busier part of town with the bulk of restaurants and shops. The house was well stocked with kitchen utensils. Susan welcomed us and had some starter items for the next morning (coffee and fruit and chips). She was a thorough and prompt communicator. She even made reservations for a restaurant we picked for New Year’s Eve when we flew in. There is clean drinking water available for the entire stay to refill water bottles. You do need bottled water for the bathrooms (when brushing teeth or rinsing mouth etc ). The air conditioning works great in all the rooms. The spa on the roof never quite warmed up but that was due to waiting for a replacement solar cover. The washer and dryer were very convenient for our family as we have 2 boys who help make messes. The water does take a minute or two to heat up for showers but there are reminders of that throughout the house. There were towels aplenty for shower and special beach/spa ones that we used when we went to the quiet side of the island to swim and lay on the beach. There were some small starter bottles of shampoo and we had to buy more as we didn’t bring any. The tv worked great for kids. We just used Netflix. Airflow in the house is also a nice option in the mornings. Ants like to come out for any crumbs but that is a typical island struggle. there are 5 or 6 pairs of fins, goggles and 10 or so snorkels. We were able to find set ups for all 4 of us (2 adults, 8 and 9 year olds). There were ample supplies like garbage bags, linens, dish towels, bath towels etc. Susan lives on island and is often available and offers alternative communications in case there is ever an issue. Thanks for the stay! It was a beautiful house.
