Summary: Nice room. We evacuated from NOLA for Hurricane Ida. Called while en route to ensure we’ll be able to check-in later than the time expected due to us being in traffic for 12 hours. The receptionist first said the room wasn’t really guaranteed until we arrive because they didn’t except payment on hotel.com. Once we got there I had to manually give them all of the info but that was no problem. At one point they thought we were checking out a day earlier than we paid for but it was no problem once they checked. There was no breakfast/coffee bar as advertised and our room key stopped working every so often so we had to keep going to the often which was annoying. Lots of restaurants, stores, and gas stations nearby though. There was obviously a prostitution business taking place and I’m sure the receptionist knew of it happening but not sure. At first we thought there were locals living at the hotel. One guy had access to about 3-4 rooms with women in each. He kept moving containers back and forth and we saw random men leaving some of the rooms. The guy with access to the multiple rooms had an argument/fight with one of the women and police were called and questioned him but he wasn’t arrested. He was gone by the time we left.
