Summary: We have stayed at this property in the past and really enjoyed our stays. This time, upon arrival, there were a few issues (popped balloons on the ceiling, the safe open in locked position, heavy perfume smell), although nothing we couldn’t deal with. But after dinner, when attempting to shower, there was no hot water. We waited until morning and let them know, and they promptly sent someone who worked on it and said he fixed it. Trying again to shower, still no hot water. He returned, and again said it was fixed. But by the time I tried to shower again, the water was cold. They then said it was the pipes and it could not be fixed. They had no other rooms available and offered us a refund. But it was after 4 pm, and we were left trying to get a refund from Expedia (not an easy process) along with finding a last minute accommodation (we had booked Singular Dreams more than 6 months prior). We ended up paying double for a room in Cancun for the rest of our trip.
