Villa Sol y Luna is an oceanfront villa with a private pool conveniently located half an hour drive away from the Cancun Airport. This three story high, large and airy luxury residence is located along Playa del Secreto, or “Secret Beach,” a gated community with a handful of private oceanfront homes on one of the most pristine white sand beaches in the Riviera Maya. Sheltered by a row of palm trees, Sol Y Luna is the perfect hidden getaway for families, friends, weddings or corporate retreats.

Melanie, our trilingual (English, Spanish & German) villa manager will greet you upon arrival and will assist you during your stay. For a truly relaxing vacation and a fantastic culinary experience, you may hire Chef Ismael who never fails to impress our guests. The villa offers three unique areas where you can enjoy a romantic dinner with an outstanding view of the Caribbean: our upper floor terrace, around the pool deck or on the private sandy beach.
The LED-lighted swimming pool with built-in Jacuzzi is flanked by a thatched roof kitchen-bar and parasols. This outdoor bar has a bathroom, a fridge, a gas BBQ, sink and a counter with wooden stools. Little could beat the sheer relaxation of taking a nap in a seaside hammock. Other entertainment options include beach volleyball, boogie boards, snorkeling, kayaking, and an inflatable row boat.
Indoors, the family/game room has been equipped with a billiards table, forty-five inch flat screen TV, stereo sound system and a bar. Sol Y Luna also provides Wi-Fi access, satellite TV with movie channels, and a DVD library. Don’t forget to go outside though, there’s lots of exploring to be done!
There are four bedrooms on the villa ground floor; all are air-conditioned and have ceiling fans, private closets with a safe and full bathrooms with hair dryers. Three of them have an ocean view. Together, the bedrooms on the ground floor have a total of three king-size and three queen-size beds, as well as two fold-out sofas in the game room. This floor has a laundry room with a washer, a dryer, iron board, and consumables. A large terrace equipped with a sofa set and a ping pong table faces the ocean and provides shade. A ramp and pathways provide wheelchair access to the exteriors, including the beach and pool.
On the upper floor there are three bedrooms, all are air conditioned and have ceiling fans, private closets and safes. Each room has a full bathroom and a hair dryer. All of them except for one have an ocean view. The master bedroom has a reading room too. There are two king and two queen-size beds, as well as two fold-out sofas in the upper floor.
The dining room may seat up to 18 guests with two circular dining tables, separated from the kitchen by a counter. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with garbage disposal, dish washer, semi-industrial stove with gas oven, coffee maker, blender, toaster, and the basic consumables. The living room has a forty-five inch flat screen TV and a stereo sound system. The dining room, living room and the kitchen have an ocean view with a nice sea breeze. There is a half bathroom next to the dining-living room.
You will enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea from the wide covered terrace accessible from the dining room. This is a highly recommended place for dining and social gathering. This terrace has a vertical awning to provide shade from the morning sun and a cozy sofa set to admire the sunset accompanied by your favorite drink.
The rooftop terrace features lounge furniture that can be assembled into a comfortable bed and offers an intimate atmosphere to enjoy panoramas of the aquamarine waters and the poignant intensity of the Caribbean sunset. At night you may witness the full splendors of the moon reflected on the sea.
To accommodate larger groups, there is a detached apartment with 3 bedrooms and one full bathroom; all bedrooms have private closets, ceiling fans and are air-conditioned. This apartment has a living-dining room with a kitchenette equipped with a fridge, coffeemaker, sink and microwave oven. There are one queen-size and four twin beds in total.
Up to twenty people can sleep on separate beds in Sol y Luna. Six additional guests may sleep either sharing queen-size beds or using the fold-out sofas and roller beds. We also have three cribs for families with babies and toddlers.
For those who may want to mingle with people, Cancun and its discos is only a 30 minute drive away. Playa del Carmen is 20 minutes away to the south and the fishing village at Puerto Morelos is just a 10 minute-ride away. Each of these vibrant towns offers a variety of gourmet restaurants, cafes, shopping malls, and nightlife.
Playa del Secreto is a sanctuary where you can find a beautiful residential community where villa owners are committed to preserving the area as an exclusive and immaculate location.
