Summary: The property/room itself was fine. Definitely more dated than you can tell in the pictures but good enough if you don’t plan to spend a lot of time in your room. Our issues came when we arrived and found out from locals that there was a huge college festival the weekend we were there. It is known to be very rowdy and dangerous at times. Most of the bars and restaurants close or are only open for takeout and the beach is so packed that you can’t enjoy it. We messaged the host and asked if we could be refunded for the last two of our three nights. He said he would get back to me and when I hadn’t heard back by the next morning, I reached out again. At that time I was told I could possibly get my money back if the room got booked for the nights we had originally planned to stay. I assume that it did not as I was not contacted again. It was disappointing customer service as we would have considered this room again in the future. We ended up wasting about 600 or so. We will search other options when we visit again.
