Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Location is good, close to center and also close to a boardwalk where you can see the lagoon. Breakfast included, basic but enough if you need to leave early for a boat tour.

Negative: The hotel is very dated. Sheets were almost falling apart from excessive use. There was a horrible smell in our room, mild or cleaning solution, I'm not sure but it was really bad. We also tried changing dates as we had enough time for cancellation and the hotel did not respond through booking until it was already too late. When I finally got a hold of them they said it's not their problem and I need to sort it out with booking. After we arrived the guy at the front desk told me don't worry we were able to sort it out and you will not be charged for the extra night, he explained their booking communication did not work. Then he told me some stories about how he will give us a better room for some reason. Now that I'm sitting down to check out expenses I see he charged us for the 5 nights. I feel I was scammed. Not a good feeling to have ....
